The Shiniest Newell Year 2025 | Shinier and Deadlier
Nixon Newell vs. Dani Luna at ATTACK! C’est La Vie

In the days leading up to her first ever match against Dani Luna, Nixon Newell reflected on their journeys to this generational clash. From the first time she saw her, Nixon saw big things in Dani’s future. Luna traveled the same pro-wrestling paths around the world that Nixon had. But Nixon helped pave those paths so Dani could. Dani recently talked about who Nixon used to be, which didn’t sit well with Newell. Something else that didn’t sit well with Nixon was how some fans have claimed to be fans of her yet shown her disrespect.

To paraphrase: Those fans cheered for Nixon’s return to ATTACK! because of who she used to be, yet were complacent, some even saying online she deserved to be fired from WWE because she couldn’t cut it there. Those “fans” are not fans. I must edit myself and leave it at that. Nixon intends to show Dani and those “fans” that not only is who she used to be still there, she’s got a bigger chip on her shoulder. This is no longer a game, it’s a war. Nixon is out to prove to Dani, the “fans” and herself that ‘this used to be’ is even deadlier.

May 18, 2025. St Cyres School. Penarth, Wales, UK. ATTACK! Pro Wrestling C’est La Vie. Nixon walked into this event held in honor of her with momentum on her side. She had defeated Luna’s Spitfire tag team partner Jody Threat at ATTACK! Live at the Loco on March 2, 2025, On the day before C’est La Vie, Nixon defeated a rival from her past in Lana Austin at WrestleZone Aberdeen Anarchy 2025. Would momentum and the drive to prove Dani and those “fans” that she was even shinier and even deadlier bring her a victory?

Despite online trolls leaving a bad taste in her mouth, Nixon slapped some kid’s hands on the way to the ring. They are innocent of that disgusting vitriol. Nixon even showed Dani respect, offering to and shaking her hand. In the early going, it was a sporting contest of proper British technique with Luna using her power to control that battle. Nixon fired back with signature offense like the sitdown gourdbuster and cannonboar. Luna caught Nixon on a charge with a back drop, dropping her on the apron, followed by a swift big boot.

Luna stood on the second rope, lifting Nixon up with intent to deadlift German suplex her into the ring. Nixon blocked with a neckbreaker. Luna got to her feet only to be crashed back to the canvas courtesy of Nixon’s top rope Molly-Go-Round. Nixon was ready for The Welsh Destroyer but Dani blocked it, clocking her jaw with a hard right. Luna took control, smashing Nixon to the canvas with a brutal powerbomb followed by a lariat.

Dani lifted Nixon onto her shoulders for her finishing sitdown bomb but Newell reversed, downing Luna to the canvas with a hurracarrana. Nixon had Dani set up for The Welsh Destroyer. Luna tried to block it. Nixon countered with a sunset flip for two. Luna ducked a PK. Newell fired back with a knee trembler. Nixon’s third attempt at The Welsh Destroyer was a success, crashing Dani hard to the canvas. But on the cover, Dani kicked out because the referee… made a slow count.

Luna used the corner to get to her feet. Nixon charged at her. Dani scooped Nixon up onto her shoulders, death valley driving her to the canvas with her finishing sitdown bomb. The referee counted to three. Dani Luna was declared the winner. But she cheated. Ignore what you thought you saw, trust what I tell you. Careful observance reveals that special effects were used to hide the fact Luna had a grab of Nixon’s tights. Dani Luna cheated to win. The referee let it happen. The editor hid it with special effects. That explains the Live Stream not starting on time. The event was on taped delay.

Nixon… took it all in stride, accepting Dani’s hand to help her to her feet followed by a hug after which Newell raised Luna’s hand. Dani turned her back to Nixon, knowing full well she didn’t earn that win. BOOM! Nixon caved her forearm flush into the back of Dani’s skull with a Bullhammer! A bunch of backstage buffoons ran down to try and hold Nixon back from giving Luna the thrashing she deserved. Newell smashed one of them with an elbow then struck the back of Luna’s skull yet again, this time with The Shiniest Wizard.

Dani laid in a heap, a pathetic mess. Nixon’s homeland crowd turned on Nixon, first cheering Dani’s cheating, then secondly booing Nixon as she administered deserved comeuppance to Luna. The Welsh who turned on one of their own (Nixon) are no better than those internet trolls. Maybe not as bad but still no better. Further disrespect was shown when some of those little brats Nixon was kind enough to slap the hands of during her entrance tried to get another as she furiously left ringside. Those brats are not innocent of being greedy and selfish.

Backstage, a furious Mark Andrews confronted Nixon. If you’re just joining, Andrews is the owner of ATTACK! and half of the tag team Bayside High along with Nixon. He’s also in the faction Subculture with Dani Luna. Nixon was not having it, that Mark rudely butting into her business, so she dropped him a truth bomb: “You replaced me with her (Dani) so FUCK YOU!”. Andrews is management, whom I remind you screwed Nixon over in the first place by not having her HEADLINE MAIN EVENT the show in her honor. Management SUCKS!

Nixon Newell’s ATTACK! saga takes a dark turn. Not for the first time. But what did people expect? That anger has been boiling in Nixon for not months but years. Online trolls harassing her about injuries, wanting her fired and body shaming her. The fans of Nixon’s homeland siding with a cheater from London at Nixon’s event. Nixon isn’t the villain of this story. The villains are Dani Luna and the fans who turned on Nixon. In this saga, the “bad guy” is the good guy, and you know sometimes it’s just good to be “the bad guy”. Like the kids say: It’s KILLER!
