A dragon’s slumber had ended. March 1, 2025. Cathays Community Centre. Cardiff, Wales. ATTACK! Pro Wrestling Press Start 8. Harrison Bennett & Rayne Leverkusen pissed and moaned about you name it, they complained about it. Those two don’t care about the fans who paid their hard-earned money for tickets. But the owner of ATTACK!, that young Welsh wrestling legend Mark Andrews does. He swiftly announced an impromptu tag team match. A company owner gets the point across without going on and on and on. Unheard of these days, right?

So, who was going to team with Mark Andrews? You know. But for dramatic sake… C'est La Vie blared. The Welsh Dragon landed. A girl shined up her wizard. There were firecrackers. Yes. Nixon Newell returneth. Not just to ATTACK! but to her homeland of Wales. The Story of Tegan Nox came to an end on November 1, 2024. On the 1st day of March in The Shiniest Newell Year 2025, The Story of Nixon Newell begins a new chapter.

Years ago, Nixon and Mark were a tag team known as Bayside High. You must forgive this Chronicler’s lack of context on this matter. For as many of their battles as I’ve seen, there is still much to that part of Nixon’s tale I’ve yet to research and chronicle. So, I will safely assume Bayside High is a Saved by the Bell reference. I think Nixon’s new gear was done by designer Lisa Turtle.

Andrews and Bennett kicked it off with Harrison getting the worst of it. Then the moment had come. The tag was about to be made. Nixon was going to partake in her first ring action since July 5, 2024, and her first on the independent scene since April 30, 2017. But the cowardly Bennett scurried away, tagging out to Rayne. Mark tagged in Nixon. Rayne came at Newell. Arm drag. Charging uppercut in the corner. Catching fallaway slam. Rayne blocked the gourdbuster, grabbing Nixon and roughing her to the canvas.

Mark blind tagged in as Rayne had Nixon on the ropes for an Irish whip. Nixon reversed for a double team hip toss, sending Rayne scurrying to the floor. Bennett entered the fray, receiving the same. A running PK from Nixon followed by a standing corkscrew moonsault from Andrews. Harrison and Rayne regrouped with Bennett tagging in once the action resumed. It didn’t take long for the more aggressive Bennett and Rayne to take control, working over Andrews to a pulp.

Nixon reached her hand out furiously for the tag. Mark finally had his shot, leaping to their corner. But Bennett pulled Nixon to the floor. Just as Harrison and Rayne were going to lock lips for another kind of wrestling, Nixon told them to “get a room” pulling Bennett to the floor. Mark rolled Rayne up for two. Rayne kicked out. Andrews tagged in Nixon. Two clotheslines to Rayne. Running uppercut to Bennett. Nixon caught Rayne by the hands, skull-smashing her in the sternum with a Welsh Kiss. The sit out gourdbuster followed.

Rayne crumpled to the corner, prone to Cannonboar. Top rope crossbody into a cover for two. Nixon signaled for a big red chokeslam, but Rayne slipped off tagging out to Bennett. Newell ducked, Bennet hitting the turnbuckles. Nixon delivered a charging uppercut as Andrews hit the gamengiri. Nixon tagged in Mark. Newell lifted Bennett up for another grourdbuster, but this time Andrews grabbed Bennet and canvassed him face-first with a wheelbarrow face buster for two.

Nixon tagged in, hurrying over to the neutral corner for top rope offense. Bennett and Rayne all-out assaulted Nixon and Mark. Rayne tagged in, catapulting Nixon to Harrison who crashed her to the canvas with a cutter. Rayne covered Nixon with Andrews saving it for his team. Harrison and Rayne tried to deliver the same to Andrews who reversed Bennett’s cutter into a tornado DDT. Nixon chokeslammed Rayne. Bennett lifted Mark up for offense which Andrews reversed into a cutter which I’ll nickname the Bayside Break.

The Welsh Destroyer from Nixon to Bennett, taking him out of play. That was followed by The Shiniest Wizard to Rayne, which was enough to keep her down for the three count. Your Winners are Nixon Newell & Mark Andrews. Nixon now turns her sights to Dani Luna at ATTACK! C'est La Vie on May 18, 2025.

Dani Luna is a powerhouse who rose up through the UK independent pro-wrestling during the latter 2010’s, eventually signed to WWE’s NXT UK brand for a time during which she formed the faction Subculture with Mark Andrews & Flash Morgan Webster. Following her WWE release in 2022, Luna returned to the independent scene, eventually signed to TNA Wrestling where she formed the tag team Spitfire alongside Jody Threat.

Luna came into the ring to show respect to Nixon with a handshake. Nixon took in the love of the Welsh faithful before hitting the concession stands to grab some celebratory libation for Andrews and her. Welcome Back Nixon Newell.
