Evie purchased some SHIMMER DVDs. You remember DVDs, right? Along with those DVDs came her invitation to wrestle for the iconic women’s wrestling promotion based in the United States of America. A company countless women wrestlers, of the past and recent years along with today, competed in. Some from the states, others from all corners of the globe. Her SHIMMER debut would be Evie’s first pro wrestling match in the states. It took place at SHIMMER Volume 53 over WrestleMania Weekend 2013 on Saturday April 6 at Meadowlands Convention Center in Secaucus, New Jersey.

Proud to represent her home country of New Zealand, Evie carried its flag to the ring for her match. The crowd cheered for Evie, eager and excited to finally see the Kiwi sensation they’d heard so much about on the internet, wrestle live and in person. Evie would compete in a five way match against Christina Von Eerie, Kalamity, Rhia O'Reilly and Yuu Yamagata. Although Evie didn’t win, she impressed both the live crowd and fans watching at home, including her friends in New Zealand whom she revealed watched the show live on pay-per-view.
