IYO SKY didn't win the 2024 Women's Money in the Bank Match. Sadly, recently IYO has often taken to creating messes and not accepting responsibility. That's why this trios match pitting Damage CTRL against Lyra Valkyria, Katana Chance & Kayden Carter is happening. SKY couldn't control her temper following her re-match against Lyra, setting a chain of events in motion. There's been unhappiness expressed within the sisterhood lately from IYO toward Dakota Kai & Kairi Sane. IYO giving Dakota that death stare. This chronicler is feeling dread in the air.

July 8, 2024. Ottawa, Ontario. Canadian Tire Centre. Monday Night RAW. Damage CTRL made a declaration of Damage in a vignette. Dakota stated they've been disrespected. Kairi said change brings destruction of what was. Damage CTRL feel they've lost control of RAW, however they take it back starting with a win against Lyra and The KC Express. And that's exactly what they did. Bird Brain and The Pipsqueaks got roasted by an excellent display of violence and teamwork. Damage CTRL stood victorious. Unfortunately, their celebration was short-lived.

The new trio of Sonya Deville, Shayna Baszler and Zoey Stark assaulted Damage CTRL. Our Captain once again got her arm stomped by Bully Baszler. Stark placed the blame for this attack on IYO, accusing SKY of costing her a Money in the Bank victory by driving her from one ladder onto another, taking both out of play to retrieve the briefcase. This new faction stood tall while the bruised and beaten Dakota, IYO and Kairi laid in a heap on the canvas. There was dread in the air, just not for what was feared might happen.

There is a dangerous new trio trying to break down the gate of Castle Damage. Shayna, Zoey and Sonya acted like they already took over, claiming that is what happens when Damage CTRL think they are in control yet aren't. Unfortunately, between all the recent unhappiness within Damage CTRL and this all-out assault on them… even after their win over Lyra and The KC Express, the sisterhood of Dakota Kai, Kairi Sane & IYO SKY remains in a state of disarray.

After recuperating from the wounds inflicted upon them by this new faction, Dakota Kai along with IYO SKY and Kairi Sane reunited with Asuka on the WWE SuperShow Summer Tour in Japan. Still recovering from past battle wounds herself, Asuka would not compete but did accompany her Sisters in Damage to ringside for a few matches.

During the first two nights of the tour in Osaka and Tokyo. a string of bad luck befell The Ladies Magnificent. IYO SKY suffered two championship match losses against Women's World Champion Liv Morgan. Later on both those same nights Dakota, Kairi & IYO would join forces with Tiffany Stratton in losing efforts to Meiko Satomura, Bianca Belair, Jade Cargill & Bayley.

The third and final night of the tour in Tokyo saw more of the same with Sane suffering a loss in a championship match against Morgan. But the tide would turn later in the show when Kai & SKY defeated Belair & Cargill.

Although defeating a long-time rival in Belair was satisfying, there was something much more important gained over the course of the tour. Dakota Kai, Kairi Sane and IYO SKY arrived in Japan a broken and disheveled family. But being back in the country where they first met some years ago was a reminder of the bonds they share. Bonds that were restrengthened. Destruction. Sky. Sea. Reborn.
