June 10, 2024. Toledo, Ohio. Huntington Center. Monday Night RAW. It had been a week since IYO SKY gave Lyra Valkyria a necessary reminder that you fear Damage CTRL because they run the RAW Women's Division. A few days later on WWE Main Event, Dakota Kai ended the faction's recent losing streak with a win over Ivy Nile. The time had finally come for IYO SKY to avenge her Queen of the Ring Semi-Final loss to Valkyria. As you recall, IYO kicked out at two in that match but the buffoon referee still counted to three giving Bird Brain the fluke win.

Bird Brain has been a plague on Damage CTRL's Division since getting drafted to RAW, however she finally got roasted. It was a brutal fight that Lyra assumed she had won after hitting Nightwing on SKY close to the ropes. Our Captain who has admitted in the past to having a rare klutzy moment bumped into Lyra, breaking up the pin. Bird Brain refused to be understanding of the misunderstanding, attacking Kairi Sane and Dakota. The match pressed on for a bit with IYO eventually hitting Lyra up with a crucifix bomb to score the clean pinfall victory.

Since Lyra has been a plague on their division AND attacked them over a misunderstanding, Dakota and Kairi hit the ring to administer a harsh, necessary lesson. It was only a few shots because Dakota and Kairi chose to show their rival mercy. IYO wouldn't show any such a kindness, returning to the ring for a continued, nastier assault. Dakota and Kairi didn't look in agreement with SKY's actions. Fair enough. A statement was already made. It's best to not risk fines and suspensions. That tool of a RAW GM Adam Pearce enjoys those as much as having his drinks.

Dakota and Kairi hit the ring to ease IYO off. As they did, those pipsqueaks Kayden Carter & Katana Chance -- thorns in Dakota's side since NXT -- decided to run down and side with Lyra, sticking their nose in Damage CTRL business where it doesn't belong. If The KC Express and Lyra want more of Damage CTRL, The Ladies Magnificent will be happy to oblige. But it'll have to wait because IYO backed Dakota, Kairi and herself off to finish this another day.

Later on backstage, IYO paced back and forth her mind clearly wandering. Dakota and Kairi were concerned. Showing great leadership as Dakota always does, Our Captain questioned IYO about why she returned to the ring for a continued attack. IYO responded that she took care of what had to be done. Dakota and Kairi caught IYO as she trembled backward, resting their comforting hands on her back. But they cautiously stepped away as IYO grasped her head screaming madly. IYO stormed off shouting that Damage CTRL has to change, her maddening scream unending.

Dread crept onto the faces of Dakota Kai and Kairi Sane. A smidgen of fear knowing certainly well what IYO SKY's foreboding words meant for all those who oppose The Ladies Magnificent... and even those who don't. Yes, the time has come for Damage CTRL to make the world BURN.
