December 30th 2022. Amalie Arena. Tampa, Florida. SmackDown. The Shiniest Year 2022 may have only been a month long but it was eventful. Despite loses the last two episodes, the year would still end on a positive note for The Absolute Unit. In the pre-show dark match, Tegan and Liv Morgan defeated Sonya Deville and Xia Li. Later in the evening, The Girl With the Shiniest Wizard filmed an interview for the December 31st 2022 episode of The SmackDown LowDown.

Tegan was asked what she's most looking forward to in 2023. Before she could answer, Xia Li interrupted her interview time to scold interviewer Megan Morant for choosing to interview the woman she defeated last week during the Gauntlet Match over her. If winning is her reasoning for such, it must have slipped Xia's mind that she didn't actually go on to win the Gauntlet Match. Xia insisted since she's beaten Tegan once, she could beat her again anytime, anywhere.

Xia took her leave. Nox made her New Year's Resolution: Take care of this Xia Li business in the ring. The time and place is not yet known. Xia is the first challenge of 2023. Perhaps in time, it will be The Girl With The Shiniest Wizard conquering a Queen? The future is bright for Tegan Nox. I look forward to what The Shiniest Year 2023 has in store for The Absolute Unit.
