August 5th 2020. NXT. Tegan Nox had put her rivalry with former best friend Dakota Kai in the rearview mirror to focus on NXT Women's Champion Io Shirai. A valiant effort against Io resulted in a loss but Nox gained Shirai's rare respect. While Dakota took her turn at Io, it was back to racking up wins to earn another title shot for Nox. The Girl With The Shiniest Wizard would do battle with the self-proclaimed "Impressive" Indi Hartwell.
The arrogant Aussie had her own designs on elevating herself that would become clearer in coming weeks. But here Hartwell would take the pinfall loss to Nox who showed a lot intensity in her match against the aspiring star. Nox may have been the victor but looming over her was the threat of another former friend in Candice LeRae. The Poison Pixie claimed via a Tweet that Nox's jealousy cost her a chance to pin Io Shirai in a tag team match the previous week.
Dakota Kai and Candice had teamed up against Shirai and Nox on the July 29th 2020 episode of NXT. Kai left Candice for dead and Shirai pinned The Poison Pixie after Nox struck her with The Shiniest Wizard. Candice moaned that her "once upon a time wonderful friend" cost her the match since had Nox not struck her with The Shiniest Wizard, she was certain she would have pinned Shirai and become the number one contender.
Candice's take was as twisted as the deranged Gargano Universe her husband Johnny and her had existed in since April. Nox rubbed Candice the wrong way when she sided with Mia Yim and Keith Lee over Johnny and her. Now Candice was placing the unfair blame on Nox for her own shortcomings. Nox didn't feel she had such a falling out with Candice yet as she had with Dakota. Sometimes sisters love, sometimes they fight. Big sister Candice clearly wanted to fight.

Additional Information | Tegan Nox defeated Indi Hartwell (3:03) on the August 5th 2020 episode of WWE NXT at Full Sail in Winter Park, Florida. This would be Nox's last NXT match during her 2017 to 2021 WWE run. Another torn ACL would keep her out of action until July 2021.
